If I were a Baobab,
I’d be raucous and loud, and filled with song.
My veins would be rivers blue, and deep enough
to water the world.
My heart would be an all-hours reservoir;
my lungs exhaling oxygen and
life
in joyous bursts;
my arms
aflame with love.
And I think …
that yes, I can be this Baobab.
